6. Let your skin breathe.
Lay off the heavy foundation as part of your spring clean. While foundations can cover well, they can lead to clogged pores and acne as well as sit in the crevices, highlighting dry areas and lines. Leave the foundation for special occasions only and use a light concealer instead to cover up any uneven areas. Your skin will breathe a sigh of relief and thank you with a glowing, dewy complexion.
7. Protect the skin.
Although SPF is mandatory in every skincare routine all year long we couldn't leave this one out! When doing a poll in our insta stories to find out if our community was using SPF the numbers were far too low...so reminders will never end...sorry not sorry! Although the weather is warmer, it's still so mild you might not feel how strong the sun is. Apply sunscreen every morning and reapply it again before any outdoor activity during the day.
8. Try a fruit enzyme peel mask.
A peel mask screams renewal! Are you looking to lighten scars & brighten your complexion? Fruit enzymes are natural chemicals that provide a thorough exfoliation but are usually gentler than rough scrubs or microdermabrasion treatments, which can be harsh, especially if you have sensitive skin. Enzymes, by their nature, do not penetrate deep into the skin, another quality that makes this type of peel effective, yet gentle. The uppermost layer of skin is primarily made up of a protein called keratin. Enzyme peels work by hydrolyzing or breaking up this protein, removing dull, dry, damaged surface cells and impurities leaving you with softer, smoother skin.
