This past week I was told to watch the Documentary HEAL on Netflix, boy-oh-boy was it life-changing! It's all about the power of the mind, and our own power to heal. This film will empower you with a new understanding of the miraculous nature of the human body and the extraordinary healer within us all.
The film spiked the idea for this topic, which I shared on our Instagram stories. After having it up for 24 hours, so many people in our community asked if I could keep these steps in our highlights to reflect on.
There is no better feeling when a topic resonates with so many, so I thought I would make it into a blog, so it can swarm the interwebs as well...gotta spread as much love as possible!
With the law of attraction, we have to act as if we already live in abundance (it's a mindset) which means visualizing the life we desire, giving gratitude, and taking action.
Let's get into what it means to visualize and how manifesting encourages empowerment:
1. Get Specific. Focus on what you do want, not what you don’t want. When manifesting what we want, it’s way too easy to determine what it is we don’t want. In visualization, it’s better to think of what you do want, that way visualizing your healthy skin comes natural, and you’re focusing less on negative thoughts and more on desired outcomes.
2.Trust. If you don’t trust and believe that we live in an abundant universe and that you are worthy – it’s not going to happen (If you struggle with this, please watch the Heal Documentary ASAP). For example: Say you want healthy, glowing skin, don't envision yourself buying all the right products, instead envision yourself looking in the mirror and seeing what you desire. Visualize every aspect of your skin: what texture is it? will you be wearing makeup? where do you picture yourself standing? It's all in the details.
3.Live as if you already have healthy skin. Now, that’s not to say don’t go around screaming to the world “I’m going to have the healthiest skin without even doing anything” because that isn’t how the law of attraction works. The idea is to begin living and feeling as if you already have what it is you desire. This raises the frequency of you actually having it.
4.Catch negative thought processes. Next time you find yourself scrutinizing your skin in front of the mirror, picking at blackheads, frowning at fine lines or dark spots, stop. Take a deep breath, and tell yourself something positive. " I have beautiful eyes." "I am powerful." "I have the power to heal myself." You get the drift! Pump positivity into every vein in your body!
5.Use visualization to retrain your brain. Did you know that the brain believes what you tell it to believe? It’s true–and it’s actually really cool because by using tools like visualization and affirmation, we can influence how the brain reacts to certain stimuli. Visualization is a great tool–and it simply starts with using your imagination.
